Education Opportunities

Fellowship - Upper Level Education Building
Primarily for middle and senior age adults, this class uses the "The Present Word" from the "Uniform Lesson Series." Lessons are taught in lecture-discussion method.

St. Andrew's Class - Upper Level Education Building
Open to adults of all ages, members of the St. Andrew's class strive to grow closer to God and to one another by studying God's Word and taking it with them into the secular world. They are continually learning how to allow the Word to be a map unto their feet.

Onesimus - Upper Level Education Building
This class is open to men of all ages and employs group discussion with some lecture surrounding topical issues and real-life application of Christian principles.
 
Women in Christ - Upper Level Education Building
This is a class where John Knox women can experience special “fellowship” while exploring a variety of inspirational books and topics. Members share leadership duties, and new books and Bible studies are introduced 2-3 times during the year. Women in Christ members consider this class a supportive extension of Christ's call to love one another.

Kerygma  - Upper Level Education Building
This class is open to adults of all ages and uses “Kerygma” workbooks as a basis for studying the scriptures on an individual basis. Group discussion based on each week's lesson provides an in-depth and comprehensive study of God's word.

Serendipity  - Conference Room, Church OfficeBuilding
This class is open to any adult looking for fellowship and a relaxed discussion of scripture.  This group utilizes a discussion format to apply scripture to their daily lives.  The Serendipity model relies on the participation of its members to grow together in their relationships with each other and their faith.  The class goal is best stated from a quotation in the front of the Serendipity Bible…”Serendipity is what happens when two or three get together and share their lives and the Holy Spirit does something beautiful when you least expect it.”

Generation Next - Upper Level Education Building
Open to singles or couples in their 30's-40's who know about the struggles that come with changing diapers and starting t-ball. This group is class led and uses God's Word as a map for guidance through the home front, workplace and downtime. Many social events are planned throughout the year.
 
Knox Life - Nursery Annex
Knox Life is for young singles or couples and discusses the life impact of Biblical stories, characters, and other topics of interest. The class studies the historical significance of events that  may have been overlooked when reading the stories during earlier times of their lives. This class is about developing relationships...not only with others in the class but, most importantly, the deep relationship with Christ. Social events and an annual beach retreat are planned by class members.
