Youth and College Ministry
Junior Highs – Grades 6-8
Senior Highs – Grades 9-12
Sunday School takes place every Sunday from 9:45-10:45am in the Youth Center below the Fellowship Hall. The Junior High curriculum is designed to help students encounter and become rooted in fundamental truths of the Christian faith. Senior High curriculum is designed to further challenge students to grow in spiritual maturity by engaging the living God in the world, the culture, and their own lives. Both groups also meet Wednesday nights (see below).
Confirmation is a year-long course designed to take our 8th grade students on a journey of faith. They further explore the Christian faith, learn what it means to be part of the Presbyterian Church, and they are given the opportunity to make a public statement of faith at the end of the course.
Wednesday Night Live takes place directly after the Fellowship Dinner. This year, it will include teaching, small groups, and activities for Junior and Senior High students. Both groups meet in their Sunday School rooms from 6:30-7:45pm.
Junior High students also participate in retreats, fundraisers, mission projects and special outings throughout the year.
Senior High students gather on Sunday evenings from 5:30-7pm for devotion, dinner, and fellowship. Other activities include retreats, fundraisers, mission projects, and summer trips.
College Connection helps our college students remain connected to the church even while they are away. This is done on several levels, including monthly meetings on their college campuses, care packages from the Presbyterian Women, Christmas and summer gatherings, weekly e-mail devotionals, and a summer Sunday School class for college students and other young adults.
